  Appearance: Darkmoon is lean and lanky, his relatively long legs giving him a rather unstable appearance. His thin frame allows him to glide along the ground, agile and quiet, and lends to him stamina rather than strength or speed. This is not to say he is weak; rather, he is stronger than he looks, and can hold his own in the hunt. Unremarkable in appearance other than a thin, long-ish tail and a head that looks slightly too long, Darkmoon’s body is designed for function rather than aesthetic. His fur is generally a dark brown colour, with lighter tints around his jaws, shoulders and elbows, of medium-length, and slightly wiry in texture. His eyes are small, with a hazel colour.
  Personality: Bitter and hateful, Darkmoon is often found sulking around and brooding. He is untrusting of others, and the first opinion he forms of acquaintances is negative, to say the least. He rarely tries to get to know others on a meaningful level, and often dismisses any attempts at companionship. Needless to say, he has few, if any, friends, and spends much of his time alone. This is not to say he is incapable of making friends or forming meaningful relationships, but most give up before they can break through his outer shell, frustrated at his inability to requite their feelings or attempts. Darkmoon often does not know how to react in certain situations, and as such can feel awkward or act in the wrong way; he needs a friend or partner who can show him that there is joy and kindness in the world, and that he can let go once in a while. He does, however, find an escape in work, and tries, when he can, to keep his mind busy by performing tasks.

  History: Darkmoon was born in a litter of two, a female pup the only other born alive. They were born into a harsh year, with barely enough food to go around the pack of ten wolves. His parents were not the alphas, and there was no room for their pups. They knew this, and kept Darkmoon and his sister hidden away from the pack. It was a difficult time, and their mother often had to steal away from the group to feed and care for them. She was stressed and tired, but her motherly instincts compelled her to keep her offspring alive.
    Eventually, the members of the pack learned of the pups, and Darkmoon’s mother knew that if they were discovered, the alphas would kill her offspring. Rather than they die at the teeth of strangers, and unable to keep them hidden or fed any longer, she decided she would kill them herself, for there was nothing else she could do for them. However, before she was able to perform the painful deed, she was shot by a hunter, and died. The hunter and his partner found the two pups cowering close to her body, and seeing a money-making opportunity, grabbed them and took them home.
    Darkmoon and his sister were sold to separate homes, and that was the last he saw of her. Darkmoon was sold to a harsh, cruel man, who kept him in a cage barely large enough for him to take a few steps in any direction. He was given the bare minimum of nourishment, and the water he was given was often dirty and stagnant. This lack of nutrition led to his thin stature, and the cruelty twisted his mind with hate and loneliness.
    One day, his owner left the door of his cage unlocked by accident, and Darkmoon took his opportunity to escape. He ran off as fast as his weary body could, and never looked back. He has not run into another human since then.
    Darkmoon met a female wolf shortly after named Xolea, who broke through his cold outer shell, and the two formed a close bond. She taught him the basics of hunting and tracking, but before he could learn to master these techniques, the two became separated when moving territories.
    Lost and alone, Darkmoon became more withdrawn and bitter, resentful in his loneliness of Xolea for abandoning him; this was how he processed his loss, anyway. He stumbled upon the territory of the Serenity River Pack eventually, where he was welcomed into their ranks as a scout.
  Weaknesses: Untrusting, socially awkward, prefers his company to that of others. Relatively weak to other wolves, does not do well in tests of strength and thus avoids fights.
  Strengths: Hard-working, has lots of stamina, agile, quick learner.
  Talents: Moving quietly (I don't know he's not good at things).
  Habits: He sleeps with his back to a hard surface, sulks.
